We started FREELASERFILES to help laser hobbyists and crafters. Hopefully our files have helped new laser users get started in the hobby and even inspired some to design their own models and cutting files. Many hundreds of hours have been spent on designing and creating our files and it has been worth it for the wonderful comments and compliments we receive. We have tried to encourage crafters to sell models produced from our files by including a limited licence with each file.
It is upsetting to find our files for sale on line on platforms such as Etsy etc, but the platforms are very helpful in dealing with copyright infringement and remove the item or store.
Unfortunately our files are now being used by Chinese companies to produce assembly kits, and these are being sold on Temu, Amazon etc. Below are a few examples for anyone who would care to look.

There are many more, but these are enough to show the issue.
Moving forward, we have no intention of stopping creating files or uploading them, but we also have no intention of supplying complex free files to these manufacturers. Unfortunately this means that until we can find a solution, we will not be uploading any of our more time consuming designs to our website. The files which are already on our website and the instruction videos will still be available.
We are very sorry about this, but it has been forced upon us.
Hopefully the kits they are producing will be the typical inferior quality and the returns will make them unprofitable.
To our Patreon Supporters, we have a nice little community growing and we are really enjoying the projects and sharing. We do not intend to let this hiccup spoil this.
